IMPLANTS IN THE FLOOR OF THE NOSE
Nasal floor implants are used in patients who have significant bone loss in the front of the upper jaw. Although this is rarer, the scan can show that this is the last part where the bone remains. The bony floor of the nose is the hardest part of the upper jaw and provides a secure base for implants. During the procedure, the compact floor is carefully pierced with a blunt borer, without damaging the mucous membranes, and the implant is placed with a force of 50 Ncm. This force allows the implants to immediately take on the load, and the patient can get fixed temporary teeth, which ensures a quick and stable reconstruction of the function.
